Sun, Surf, and Silence: Day 2 at the Tangbo National Longboard Event

TANGBO, SIARGAO — Day two of the National Longboard Competition unfolded under a relentless Tangbo sun, where longboarders danced and dueled across the shimmering breaks. Each wave became a quiet battle for a spot in tomorrow’s finals — a contest of grace, timing and instinct.

As expected, the surfers from La Union glided through the water with effortless precision, walking their boards as if treading on solid ground. Spectators watched in awe as riders tiptoed to the nose, carving slow, fluid lines that captured the spirit of classic longboarding.

By late afternoon, the ocean softened into gold. The crowd lingered, sunburned and content, as the day wound down to the chill rhythms of a DJ session hosted by Ora Kafé. Salt on the skin, silence in the head, Siargao’s north had its moment of calm after the day’s quiet duels.
